Since opening our doors, our mission has been to offer an exceptional dining experience. Our chefs meticulously prepare every dish with authentic spices, traditional cooking methods, and a touch of contemporary flair — so that every guest leaves having truly experienced India.
Two brothers, one dream
It all started when two of them got to know each other while working in an Indian restaurant in Berlin. Fate had brought both of them from Delhi to Berlin — and what they discovered, day by day, was a quiet brotherhood. They even moved together under one roof.
One night, tired in body and mind, they spoke of everything they had been carrying. The conversation was long but interesting, sad but important, funny but witty and direct. They were very different — but together, they could make a team. Together, they could make a difference.
They decided to do something meaningful. Something that defined their personality, their culture, their vision — something that brought a piece of Delhi to Berlin.
A moonlight market, designed by a princess
In the 17th century, the square called Chandni Chowk — or Delhi 6 — was designed by Princess Jahanara, the favourite daughter of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Today it is one of the oldest and largest wholesale markets in India, alive with everything you can imagine.
Here at Friedrichstraße 237, that dream comes true again — a moonlight market in Berlin. We call it Delhi 6, because 6 is the postal code of Chandni Chowk.
Built with savings, love and family
They quit their secure jobs, pooled all their savings and borrowed from family and friends. There was no going back.
One brother flew to Delhi to bring back Chandni Chowk's interiors — its furniture, lamps, dishes, spices, recipes and materials — so the soul of the market could live in Berlin.
The other built the menu and the floor — designing the most welcoming, interactive service possible, with food that would make every guest happy from the very first bite.
